British designer John Galliano is looking to make his fashion comeback three years after an anti-Semitic rant threatened to end his career.
As widely expected, the 53-year-old was today named as the new creative director of Paris-based fashion house Maison Martin Margiela, with his first show for the brand set for Paris Haute Couture Week in January 2015.
The appointment marks Galliano’s return to the fashion industry three years after he was convicted of anti-Semitism following a rant in a Paris bar, which saw him sacked from Dior, fined, and treated for alcohol and drug abuse.
