Myla Dalbesio Calvin Klein ads – why we should drop the words ‘plus-size’ and stop defining ourselves by a number

So Elle US Magazine posted a tweet describing size 14 model Myla Dalbesio as ‘plus-size’.

The tweet was posted to promote their interview with Dalbesio about her Calvin Klein campaign.

Elle did use inverted commas, in what looked like an effort to distance themselves, but still, it does seem misleading, and damaging, for the industry to describe someone who is listed as a US size 10 (UK 14) ‘plus-size’, when the average UK size is a 16.
