
A new dress has taken wearable tech to the next level.
The Spider Dress, designed by Anouk Wipprecht and powered by Intel Edison, features robotic legs which will poke people who invade your personal space, or invite them closer, subject to your whims. Kind of like your own personal wingwoman.
The new invention is supposed to be an extension of the wearer’s intuition. Using two sets of monitors – one to measure the distance from those around you and another to measure breathing patterns – it detects how you’re responding to attention and reacts accordingly.
