Last night, the national costume round of the 63rd Miss Universe competition happened. And it was epic.
The contestants really went to town with their outfits.
But none more so than the Canadian entrant. Taking inspiration from her country’s favourite national sport, her headdress was a full working score board and she accessorised with a cape fashioned out of ice hockey sticks.
Other highlights included Ireland’s Game of Thrones inspired medieval number and Miss Venezuela’s glittering Tabebuia chrysantha display.
Some countries went a *little* off-brief, keeping the audience guessing as to which country they represented.
And Miss Great Britain’s efforts were, quick frankly, underwhelming.
But, overall, the standard was, well, mind-boggling.
