Ladies’ Day 2015 at Aintree for the second day of the Crabbie’s Grand National Festival was, as ever, a colourful event.
Following outrageous goings on in previous years, for Ladies’ Day 2015 Aintree racecourse released a ‘Chanel inspired’ style guide, based around the following Coco Chanel quote;
“Dress shabbily and they remember the dress; dress impeccably and they remember the woman”
As it turns out, the late Coco Chanel was a great fan of the races, so we’re sure she’d have been delighted to be chosen as the style inspiration for the women of Ladies’ Day.
And we’re pleased to say that the race goers didn’t let Coco Chanel, Aintree racecourse, the organisers of the Crabbie’s Grand National Festival, or indeed themselves down.
