
Clothing brand Urban Outfitters has been accused of using the deaths of students at Kent State University for financial gain after what some are claiming to be a ‘viral marketing ploy’ caused outrage on social media.
The company posted – then quickly removed – a ‘blood-stained’ vintage Kent State sweatshirt on their website, apparently referencing a 1970 campus protest that saw the Ohio National Guard open fire on college students, leaving four dead and nine more wounded.
