In case you haven’t noticed, school dress codes keep popping up in the news recently.
Mostly because they’re nearly always aimed at women or girls.

Girls are told that their shoulders are ‘inappropriate’, that their skirts need to be longer, that their wardrobe choices are somehow responsible for distracting other students.
Most students respond to this sexist nonsense by either gritting their teeth and accepting the rules, or fighting back by continuing to wear whatever the heck they want.
