
It’s official: Cheesy Christmas jumpers have ceased to be an ironic in-joke for celebs and hipsters and are now a bona fide element of the festive period.
Evidence of the Christmas jumper’s acceptance into mainstream tradition comes from Debenhams, who report sales of Christmas jumpers are up 200 per cent on last year’s figures already (it’s not even December, people!) – and that’s before Oxford Street’s Christmas lights have even been switched on.
