If you’ve been wondering why there’s a sudden influx of photos of feet from your fashion friends on your Instagram feed, then it’s probably because of #HeelConcept.
The new social media trend involves dressing up your foot with random objects to create a DIY high heel. The more random the better.
So far there’s over 650 posts tagged #heelconcept, featuring arched, often bare, and mostly male feet perched on everything from shells to cans, and even food.
We applaud whoever made that sacrifice in the name of art.
If you’re wondering where it all started, it’s the brainchild of 25-year-old artist Misty Pollen, who told WWD that she was searching for a way to showcase ‘personal adornment through the logic of social media.’
